SMS Privacy Notice

This page is maintained by HQ Logistics and describes how we handle mobile numbers used for delivery texts.

WHAT WE COLLECT

  • The mobile number supplied for an order recipient or client contact
  • The notification protocols selected on that order, including whether SMS was enabled
  • Consent timestamp, the account and user who granted it, and the application version
  • IP address at the time of consent, when available
  • Message status records (queued, sent, failed, opted out) for audit

HOW WE USE IT

Mobile numbers are used solely to send transactional delivery notifications for the order they were supplied with, and to honor STOP/HELP requests. We do not use them for marketing.

SHARING

Numbers are shared only with the telecommunications provider needed to transmit the message, and only when SMS consent is active. We do not sell mobile numbers or share them with third parties for marketing. Driver and recipient numbers are masked from each other by our proxy calling layer.

RETENTION AND DELETION

Consent records are retained as an append-only audit trail for the life of the delivery record, because they evidence lawful message sending. Revocation is recorded rather than erasing the original consent. To request deletion of a mobile number from future messaging, contact support@hqlogistics.org.

YOUR CHOICES

Reply STOP to any message to opt out, use the opt-out control on your tracking page, or ask HQ Logistics to revoke SMS consent for an order. Once revoked, no further SMS is generated for that order.

SECURITY

Consent records are stored in our access-controlled database with row-level policies limiting visibility to the owning client account and authorized HQ Logistics dispatch staff. Provider credentials are held server-side only and message contents are not logged in the browser.
